United Nations Month is
celebrated during the month of October. This is organization is responsible for
maintaining international peace and security, develops friendly relationship
among nations, attaining international cooperation, and this serves as a center
for harmonizing the actions of nations. This celebration shows that they are
going strong and they are helping each other to improve and to attain success
on their country.
October 24, 1945 at San
Francisco, California when this organization officially comes into existence. There
are 193 countries that are member states of the United Nations. The main bodies
or the principal organs of this intergovernmental organization are; Secretary
General, Security Council, Economic and Social Council, Trusteeship Council,
International Court of Justice, and Secretariat. This is the largest, most
popular, and most powerful organization in the world. The headquarter of the
United Nation is in New York City. There are also six official languages
involved, these are Arabic, English, Russian, Chinese, French, and Spanish. The
theme for this years United Nation is “Indigenous Languages Matter for
Sustainable Development, Peace Building and Reconciliation. This unity of
nations plays an important for the fact that the other nations serve as their
companion in achieving one’s success and progress. Unity is being made. Countries that are not yet progressive can gain progress with the help of other
countries. This also serves as a savior because when time comes that they need support,
the other countries that are involved in this organization will give their best
to give their aid or support to that country.
United Nations is one
