Violence
Against Women and their Children (VAWC) is defined as an act or series of acts
committed by any person against a woman who is his wife or former wife. VAWC is
also called as Republic Act 9262.
The concept of violence is not just
about the physical violence, it also includes the sexual violence,
psychological violence, and economic abuse such as threats, assault, or
harassment. Women in society must be treated well. They must be respected and
be loved. Women also needs care just what they are doing as a mother. They do
not deserve abuse. Women are the one who takes care of us when we are a child,
your mother. Amidst all the sacrifices they did just to make you lived, they
have done many thing to give you a better life. We can hear on the radio, we
can see at the television that women nowadays are becoming a victim of
different abuse. Whether here in the Philippines or in abroad. Republic Act
9262 was implemented to protect women from abuses. But base from the
observations, there are still women who are abused but it decreased.
Women are not animals. Treat them
well just like how they treat you, love them just like how they love you,
respect them for you to be respected.
