Buwan ng Wika is celebrated during the month of August. "Katutubong Wika tungo sa isang bansang Filipino", this is the theme for this year's Buwan ng Wika. Did you also know that there are eight languages and among that eight languages, they pick our major language? And that major language that I am referring to is the Tagalog language. Even though we have different languages and we are using different languages, we are still able to understand each other, we're able to communicate with other people because of this major language.

In connection to the celebration of this Buwan ng Wika, every school has different activities to do. Some of the activities are poster making, poem writing, singing, pageant, and many more. With the help of these activities, the students will slowly understand the importance of celebrating this event, the Buwan ng Wika and to know why does this celebration is significant.

Let us not be ashamed of what we really are. Let's be proud of it instead. Despite of the languages that are mostly influencing us, let us not forget to still use our own language.

LESSONS LEARNED

For the first quarter in my 10th grade, it was hard but fun and very exciting as I was expecting. I have learned a lot of new things. I have learned how to make a blog, how to edit the blog, and how to write an effective blog. I was able to express my feelings and thoughts about the topics that was given to me. But there are also challenges that came in as I was writing my blog. Like how would I write an effective blog that would catch my readers, what should I do to gain their attention, how to make the layout of the blog. And I was able to overcome these challenges by following the instruction that was given to us by our teacher like how to write an effective blog, what to do to gain the attention of the readers.
Yes, truly grade 10 is very hard. But I will do all my best to pass all the challenges. I must know how to manage my time and use it wisely. I will practice myself and I must how to get used to the things, I must listen well to the teachings and must apply it. So that I will have an effective work.

NATIONAL DISASTER RESILIENCE MONTH

disasterThe National Disaster Resilience Month is formerly called the National Disaster Consciousness Month. This celebration carries the theme: “Kahandaan sa Sakuna’t Peligro para sa Tunay na Pagbabago”. As the theme implies, being aware or prepared on disasters and accidents builds up disaster resilience.
We are vulnerable to hazards. Hazards come in two different classifications, these are the natural hazards and human induced hazards. Natural hazards can be an earthquake, volcanic eruptions, flood, tropical cyclones, and armed conflict. Human induced hazards are hazards that is caused by humans or doings of humans like fire, accidents, and even war. These hazards give threats and great effect in our lives.
The focus of this National Disaster Resilience is to promote the culture of disaster preparedness and in order to reduce the risks and impacts of those hazards into our lives.
If we are prepared, we are far away from dangers or anything that can harm us, we can be safe by being prepared at all times. Disasters, accidents, and dangers, can come anytime they want. The fact that we cannot control their occurrence and the only thing that we can do is by being prepared.

#HealthyIsWealthy

Children nowadays are suffering from malnutrition due to improper way of eating habits, eating junk foods or drinking soft drinks. Children only wants the foods that are not nutritious but attractive to their eyes like candies, junk foods, soft drinks, processed foods rather than eating green leafy vegetables, meats, fishes and other nutritious foods. In order to avoid this kind of habit, the National Nutrition Council pushes the proper nutrition.
As the theme implies, we must eat foods that are nutritious, clean, and can help and improve our body. We must follow the proper eating habits, eating at the right time in order for us to be healthy, to be active and for us to have a healthy lifestyle. Preparedness prevents Accident

We cannot control the risks that may happen or come into our lives. We always need to be prepared in order for us to be safe every day. These days, we are frequently experiencing earthquakes because we are on the Pacific Ring of Fire. That’s why there is that program that the government implemented a program that may help us to be educated, to help us knowing what to do in case of earthquake occurrence and this program is the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill.

This National SED is done to all schools to educate the students. This program teaches the students what to do incase an earthquake occur. In this earthquake drill, the students are instructed to perform the duck, cover, and hold, they are instructed on what to do if one of their classmate have an injury or injured. The Bureau of Fire Protection is always there in case of fire disorders, Red Cross of the Philippines is also there to help or to help or to guide the injured students, the Philippine National police also helps the safety and security of students. In this simultaneous earthquake drill, this is a good idea so that the students will not panic anymore because they already know what to do.
Preparedness is the best way to prevent accidents. We need to be prepared all the time. We need to be prepared so that we can live our lives to the fullest.

Letter for the Man of Steel

June 13, 2019
Dear Mr. President,
Man-of-steel-logo            First of all, I would like to congratulate you for your outstanding performance in leadership, for your splendid efforts to mold the Philippines past barriers of the 3rd world condition, for all the contributions you’ve shared. Honestly sir, I admire you a lot. You’re such a great leader of this administration. You’ve done a lot to improve our country, Philippines, as well as to improve the people in this country.
Some people say that you’re not that good to be a president. They can say this things because of the unwanted happenings around, like the extrajudicial killings, war on drugs, accusing someone which we call injustice way, and of course the corruption. Maybe they cannot see all the right doings that you’ve done and only the negative or bad ones are the one they put notice. But I think, they are wrong. I hope that those people would not be the hindrance to pursue your other projects, thus, prove to them that they are wrong.
Mr. President, you’re the best and I know that you can do more and you can do better. KUDOS Mr. President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. May the God bless you more years to serve the Philippines.

Filipino is Resilient

June 12, 1898 when our flag was first raised and this is also the day we attained our independence from the Americans who colonized us. And we are now on the 121st celebration of independence day. Andres Bonifacio, Apolinario Mabini, Emilio Aguinaldo, these are some heroes who risked their lives just to gain our freedom.
I think that this 121st celebration of independence signifies respect, love, and unity. It represents respect, because even if time has passed, we still remember the sacrifices and the risks they undergo. We still cherish the blood, sweat, and tears that they gave and we must not forget this. It signifies love, this love is the love for our country. Even after many challenges and difficulties that came in our lives, we never gave up, instead we still fought for our country, fight for our freedom and our own rights. Lastly, it portrays unity, after many challenges, we are still together, we still stand tall together, and we, as one, fights together.
So on this 121st celebration, let us commemorate all the immolation, hardships, and lives they gave just to achieve our freedom. I will always be proud that I am a Filipino, because I am resilient and Filipino is resilient.
