Our goal is to lift the Kannawidan Ylocos and become one of the major and most recognized festivals in the country. We hope that in the coming years, all municipalities will participate”, Gov. Ryan Luis Singson said.
Together we stand as one. Let’s make Kannawidan a famous and recognized festival of all time. Sure, Ilocos Sur!

Change begins with Me

When I was a child, I dreamed of being a politician someday. Why? Because my Lolo were once a politician back then and that he inspires me with what he is doing. He’s a great leader and that I think inspires me a lot.

As I can remember, I want to become a Brgy. Capt. When I was still young. Because as I saw my Lolo solved the problems in our barangay, I felt that I want to be like him someday. I want to improve and change the world to become perfect and nice. But as I grow older, I realized that I don’t have to be a politician or anybody else to change the world though I can make a change in my own ways. Like throwing the garbage in the proper place, knowing how to segregate the biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste, simply not burning plastics or anything, these simple self-practices can make a big change. And I’m proud to say that I know how to do thses things and I know how to obey the policies and rules of the government. Change can start with me. I may not be a student leader in my school but I can be a leader on myself and be a role model to others in order for them to be educated and aware of what is happening around.

Change starts with ourselves. We can be a leader in our own ways.

New Me

To eat nutritious foods, to earn more money, to be more industrious, to be more studious, to be thrifty, to eat a minimum or exact amount of food in order to be fit or sexy. These are just some of the people’s resolution when the year changes.
Image result for new yearAs the year changes, we also want ourselves to have some changes. Like other people, as the year 2020 arrives in my life, I have also a lot of resolutions and I want a change in my life. Changing means improving. As a daughter I want to become more industrious at home, I want to become the best daughter to my parents and the best ate to my two younger brothers, I want to make my parents be proud of me. I want myself to change for the better. On the other side, as a student, I want myself to become more studious, industrious at school, to be more active in class, and I promised myself that I will study hard in order for me to achieve my dreams, ambitions, and goals in life, to have a successful life someday. “New Year, New Me”, this means that as the year changes. I, myself will also change. This year, I will love myself more than anything else, my self is now my priority. Last year, I learned so many things like; do not let others hurt you or your feelings thus, be strong enough, don’t believe in promises because promises are meant to be broken, do not give your whole trust to anyone except yourself, do not focus and waste your time on the things that is only temporary around you, and now, I promised to myself that I’ll be stronger, happier, and better this year. No more pain, hate, or sadness.
Change is good when it’s for the better. We must be matured enough and knowledgeable on the things around us.

REFLECTION

Image result for reflectionThis quarter has the most difficult lesson yet enjoying. This quarter also passed so fast. I have learned how to create a web design. It is so hard to do it, it takes a lot of patience and you need to become industrious. I am not an expert when it comes to this kind of activity. I have gone to many trials because the work was deleted but I continued to do it. It came to a point that I am so angry and mad and did not have the courage to continue, I worked for it. Work hard if you want success.

ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS

Image result for CHRISTMASWhen the month of December arrives, we all think of Christmas. Christmas is being celebrated every 25 of December. This is the month when Jesus Christ was born. Christmas is about not only giving gifts and about receiving gifts; this is also the season of caring, helping, loving, forgiving, and sharing. Christmas is being celebrated to remember the birth of Jesus Christ, the only Son of God.

This is a special season, a season of joy, peace, and great tidings; these are the true essence of Christmas. Christmas is not just about time for festivity or merry making, it is a time for the contemplation of eternal things. The spirit of Christmas is spirit of giving and forgiving. This season encourages us to share love with others, to embrace peace and be our brother’s keeper. We shall always be willing to give a helping hand to those who are in need and less fortunate, give comfort to the vulnerable ones. Christmas is also the time for us to understand the lessons from Jesus and we must reflect on them. For other people, Christmas is a time of sorrow because they do not have an extra money to buy presents for their kids, family, and friends. However, it is still okay if you do not have any gifts to give as long as you love and care for that person. This is a season of great joy.

So, let us be human and kind enough to remember and to show some love to those who are helpless, motherless babies, hospital patients, prisoners, beggars, and to those who are less fortunate. Let us spread the true essence of Christmas.
